LEADER was built in 1892 for William Robbens by the yard of A W Gibbs at Galmpton Creek on the River Dart, just two miles across the hill from Brixham.

Silvery Light Sailing is a Northern Ireland Registered Charity, who with generous support from the Heritage Lottery Fund, purchased LEADER in 2021

STV LEADER
Below Deck
Since 1970, LEADER has been kitted out below - not for fishing - but to fufill her modern role as a Sail Training Vessel (STV). With enough accomodation to sleep 12 guests and 5 crew, every inch below deck is utilised to it's full potential!

That doesn't mean its cramped though, in fact we have a spacious saloon with a large table for communal meals. And the deckhead above the galley space actually goes up higher than deck level, giving an open and airy effect.
